Dimplex Electric Storage Heaters utilise night tariff electricity. They charge for 8 hours during the night, on half tariff electricity, storing the majority of the heat for release the following day.

Combination storage heater models are also available, these include a day tariff convector heater which can be used to top up heat in the evenings to supplement the storage heater output as it cools. It is standard practice to install these in living areas. As of Jan 2018 Dimplex has ceased production as they are not Lot 20 ecodesign  compliant. They have been replaced by the XLE model.

 

         

 

 



Dimplex XLE Electric Storage Heaters offer improved efficiency and control when compared to the the XMC/XMX Range. The XLE is Lot 20 ecodesign compliant.

Dimplex Quantum Electric Storage Heaters offer further efficiency and control when compared to the the XMC/XMX Range and the XLE Range. Test reports indicate on average a 12-15% saving on running costs when compared to the basic XMC/XMX.
